Today/Saturday was the day Lawrence died, wasn't it. Does anyone know if it was commemorated at all?
Current Mood: melancholymelancholy

My name is Lyz, and I am really pleased to have stumbled upon this great comm. As a token of my appreciation, I come bearing Rec's! Go here: http://thewritegirls.populli.net/carmarthen/fanfic.html

Look for the Lawrence of Arabia Section on the first link, and the stories "The Djinn" and "Wisdom Hath Builded Her House" on the second. But they're all good, really. Ta much.

Well, it's not fiction, but I hope to write a story complement eventually, so I guess it's close enough.

Lawrence/Ali, slash, but no warnings. Find it here:

Because I am insane, and I for some reasons wanted something really challenging to do, and because more Lawrence fic is a good thing (though how good mine will be is debatable...)

I sighed up to do Lean's film version for fanfic100.

...they will write on my tombstone "She went mad so we shot her."

I did a TEL post at muse_secrets and it is here

I would love to see more TEL-related posts there. Mine's on the sad side, but some humorous ones would be great fun because his sense of humor :-)

Muse Secrets, as the community info explains, is a fictional take on PostSecret.

"Ross had a funny way of holding himself stiff. I never knew what he'd do - have me spit on him or beg me to let him suck my toes. It was still better than making it on the docks behind the junk, cranes, piles of broken crates. The most a dock worker ever gave me was a quarter."

To read the full excerpt (from a novel in the works...), see http://www.evergreenreview.com/101/fiction/ross2.html

Great to see interesting in Lawrence.

Just to let everyone know (if you didn't already), there is a T.E. Lawrence fanlisting out there, and I run it. You're all invited to join if you'd like. It's at http://tel.trishymouse.net

Also, I encourage you to check out the links on http://trishymouse.net/phpFanatic/tel_links.html, which include links to the TEL information website, and to information on how to join the TEL email list (fascinating does NOT do it justice - some of the best information from the leading experts come across the list...)
